How we chose

We haven't tested these touchless vacuums in our test house yet. For this guide we compared manufacturer specifications and retailer listings for six products from five brands, looking at motor power, bin capacity, filtration, controls, size and warranty. We'll update this guide with our own measurements once hands-on testing is complete.

Who is a touchless vacuum for?

A touchless vacuum, also called a stationary vacuum or automatic dustpan, sits on the floor against a wall. You sweep dirt toward it and it sucks the pile away, so you never bend down with a dustpan. It is ideal for kitchens, mudrooms, salons and homes with pets on hard floors. It does not replace a regular vacuum for carpet, stairs or furniture.

Our picks in depth

Our pickBest for most homes

EyeVac Pro Touchless Vacuum

The EyeVac Pro is the model the touchless category was built around. It sits against the wall like an oversized dustpan; you sweep dirt toward the inlet, infrared sensors detect it, and the vacuum switches on and off again when the job is done.

On paper it is the strongest of the EyeVacs, with a 1,400-watt motor compared with 1,000 watts on the EyeVac Home. The bagless canister holds 4.8 liters, and a light tells you when it is full. Cyclonic action and dual high-efficiency filtration keep fine dust from blowing back out.

It is big: 20.5 inches tall and about 11.4 pounds, so plan a permanent spot near where you sweep most, like the kitchen or the entrance. The manufacturer positions it for hard floors; it is not designed for carpet.

Prefer black? The EyeVac EVPRO in Tuxedo Black is the same 1,400-watt professional model in a darker finish, which hides scuffs better in a salon or busy hallway.

Pros
  • Strongest EyeVac motor (1,400 W)
  • Large 4.8-liter bagless bin with full indicator
  • Available in white and Tuxedo Black
Cons
  • Tall and heavy for a stationary unit
  • Warranty terms not clearly listed

Choose this if you sweep hard floors every day and want the most proven touchless vacuum.

Budget pickBest for small homes

Keenhot Touchless Vacuum Automatic Dustpan

The Keenhot Touchless Vacuum costs around half as much as an EyeVac and is far smaller: 9 by 4.7 inches and 8.5 inches tall, at 4.3 pounds. That makes it easy to tuck under a cabinet toe kick or next to the fridge.

Multiple infrared sensors detect the broom and start the 650-watt motor. Filtration is better than the price suggests: a HEPA filter behind a four-layer pre-motor filter cover. The 3-liter bin has a wide bottom opening for emptying.

The trade-off is power. With 650 watts and a single speed, it is meant for crumbs, dust and hair, not for gravel from a mudroom. The seller lists a 24-month replacement warranty, the longest among our picks.

Pros
  • Compact and light (4.3 lb)
  • HEPA filter
  • 2-year replacement warranty
Cons
  • Lowest motor power of our picks
  • Single speed only

Choose this if you live in an apartment or want a touchless vacuum for one room without spending much.

Best for salonsBest for barbershops

JRL FASTSWEEP Professional Hair Vacuum Cleaner

JRL is known for barber clippers, and the JRL FASTSWEEP is made for the same shops. Its 6.8-liter bagless bin means you can sweep up hair from a full day of cuts before emptying it.

It is the only pick with two power levels: 500 watts for everyday sweeping and 1,200 watts for a deep clean. Mode I keeps the infrared sensor always on; Mode II lets you run it manually. JRL lists wood, tile, laminate and concrete floors as suitable surfaces.

At home it is more machine than most people need, and JRL does not publish a filter type, weight or warranty term. If you cut hair at home or run a busy grooming station, it is the most purpose-built option here.

Pros
  • Large 6.8-liter bin
  • Two power levels (500 W / 1,200 W)
  • Built for hair clippings
Cons
  • Filter type and weight not published
  • Overkill for a typical kitchen

Choose this if you run a barbershop or salon, or cut hair at home often.

Most versatileBest for pet hair and corners

IRTHEREAL T1 Touchless Vacuum Automatic Dustpan

The IRTHEREAL T1 does two jobs. In floor mode it works like the others: infrared sensors or a touch of the broom start the vacuum. In tool mode you pull out the built-in hose to clean corners, baseboards or a pet bed.

It lists the highest motor power (1,500 watts) and the largest bin (7 liters) of our picks. Filtration combines a HEPA filter with an activated carbon layer, which helps with pet odors.

The brand has a shorter track record than EyeVac, and warranty details are not clearly listed. Retail prices also vary widely between sellers, so check the current Amazon price before you buy.

Pros
  • Built-in hose for manual cleaning
  • Largest bin (7 liters)
  • HEPA plus activated carbon filtration
Cons
  • Warranty terms unclear
  • Newer brand with less track record

Choose this if you have pets and want one machine for the floor and the corners.

Also greatBest for smaller homes

EyeVac Home Touchless Vacuum

The EyeVac Home is the lighter-duty sibling of our top pick. It has a 1,000-watt motor, a 1-gallon bin and dual filtration with two high-efficiency filters plus a HEPA exhaust filter.

It stands 18 inches tall, weighs 12 pounds and has a 6-foot cord. EyeVac includes a 1-year warranty. It is marketed for bare floors and for homes with allergies.

Choose it over the Pro if you mostly sweep crumbs and dust in a smaller home and want to save money; choose the Pro for a larger household or pets.

Pros
  • HEPA exhaust filter
  • 1-year warranty
  • Cheaper than the EyeVac Pro
Cons
  • Less powerful than the Pro (1,000 W)
  • Smaller bin

Choose this if you want a proven EyeVac for a smaller home with hard floors.

What to look for when buying a touchless vacuum

Motor power and inlet

Watts give a rough idea of power, but the inlet matters too. A wide, low inlet takes in a full sweep of crumbs at once. For hair and fine dust, 650 watts is enough; for gravel, cat litter or a busy salon, look at 1,000 watts or more.

Bin capacity

Home models hold about 1 gallon to 5 liters. Hair is bulky, so salons should look at 6 liters or more. A bin-full indicator saves you from losing suction without noticing.

Filtration

Because the vacuum blows air back into the room at floor level, a HEPA filter makes a difference for anyone with allergies. An activated carbon layer helps with pet odors.

Our tip: Check that replacement filters are sold separately before you buy.

Size and placement

The unit needs a permanent spot next to an outlet. Tall models like the EyeVac stand about 18 to 20 inches high; compact ones fit under a cabinet toe kick.

Sensors and modes

All our picks use infrared sensors to start automatically. A manual mode is useful to stop false starts when a pet walks past, and a hose (only on the IRTHEREAL T1) adds spot cleaning.

How to make your touchless vacuum last longer

  1. Empty the bin often

Suction drops before the bin is full. Empty it at least every few days, daily in a salon.

  2. Clean the filter monthly

Tap out or rinse the filter as the manufacturer instructs, and let a washed filter dry fully.

  3. Don't sweep up liquids

These are dry-debris vacuums. Wipe up spills first.

  4. Keep the inlet clear

Check the inlet for hair clumps or larger objects if suction weakens.

What we're testing next

We plan to bring these models into our test house to measure pickup, noise and real bin capacity. We'll update this guide with the results.
